Beautiful Lake Washington and Cascade Mountain Views!

The Denny Blaine neighborhood is affluent and serene, close to Seattle, yet an urban oasis just minutes from the city.
The neighborhood is named after its developers, Elbert F. Blaine and Charles L. Denny, who began subdividing the area in 1910. Denny was the son of Seattle pioneer Arthur Denny.

This beautiful old home is in the prestigious Denny Blaine neighborhood of Seattle

Denny-Blaine
is a neighborhood in east central
Seattle, Washington. It is bounded on the east by Lake Washington; on the south by E. Howell Street, beyond which is Madrona; on the west by 34th Avenue, beyond which is Madison Valley; and on the north by Lake Washington Boulevard E., Hillside Drive E., and E. Prospect Street, beyond which are Washington Park and Madison Park.

The neighborhood's main thoroughfares are E. Denny Way and E. Harrison Street (east- and westbound) and Dorffel Drive E. and Lake Washington and McGilvra Boulevards E. (north- and southbound). Denny-Blaine Park is on the Lake Washington waterfront at the foot of E. Denny-Blaine Place.

The Denny-Blaine neighborhood is one of the most affluent and exclusive neighborhoods in Seattle.

Denny Blaine is defined by its park and the other nearby parks around the neighborhood

Denny Blaine Park
The grassy beach is surrounded by an old stone wall, which marked the shoreline before 1917, when the lake level was lowered nine feet by the construction of the Lake Washington Ship Canal. There is enough room for a volleyball net above and quiet picnics and sunbathing below.

Viretta Park
 is in the
Denny-Blaine neighborhood of at the foot of E. John Street at 39th Avenue E., stretching down to Lake Washington Boulevard E. It was named by Charles L. Denny after his wife, Viretta Jackson Denny. The park's wooden benches, serving as the de facto memorial to Kurt Cobain, are covered with graffiti messages to the rock icon.

Madrona Park and Beach is located on the waterfront on Lake Washington, near Denny Blaine. The park include a wooded hillside that slopes down to a grassy beach and swimming area, where lifeguards are on duty in the summer. It also features a jogging path along Lake Washington and picnic areas. Madrona Dance Studio is in the south part of the park.

Madison Park is a lovely grassy park on the shores of Lake Washington, south of the Evergreen Point Bridge, and just North of Denny Blaine. The park features a bathhouse and swimming beach that is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer.  Judge John J. McGilvra created this lakeshore park that in the late 19th century became the most popular beach in the city, and featured a paddle wheel steam boat, a promenade, floating bandstands, beer and gambling halls, athletic fields, a greenhouse and piers for ships that cruised Lake Washington.
